Banner Ad Specifications

Location

Banners are purchased for a single page. The main pages are set up on a rotational basis. This maximizes the ad exposure as well as providing a better interest level to the reader. Two sizes are used on these main pages. One is a bar format and one

We use the National ads to fill in those pages that have not been purchased. This greatly increases the exposure your ad will receive.

National This ad rotates location on the front page and is placed randomly in the indexes and directories.
State This ad is placed on the state page and is rotated on the city pages for that state.
Topic This ad is fixed on the topic pages.

File Type

The banners can be any file type necessary. We recommend you use a GIF or JPG file type.



GIF - These can be `animated` as long as they are with the file size limitation. This file type is used for banners with basic color formats.

JPG - This file type is best suited for color picture formats. It has no animation available.

File Size

The maximum file size for a banner is 15k bytes. We will contact you if a banner is larger than the requested maximum size.

Banner Dimensions

We use two banner sizes for each paid advertisement. The banners are used on different pages to give your ad as much exposure as possible. Paid advertisers get preference in all directories and indexes.
