MORELLI NAMED MORTGAGE BANKER OF THE YEAR

Samuel B. Morelli, President and COO of the Mortgage Division of Eagle National Bank in Villanova, PA, has been awarded the 2008 Mortgage Banker of the Year Award. The award was presented to Morelli by The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) of Greater Philadelphia at its annual meeting held at The Union League in Philadelphia.

William H. Bromley, President and CEO of Eagle National Bank said, “It is an outstanding honor for Sam to receive this award, especially considering the current state of the mortgage industry. The Mortgage Banker of the Year Award is special at any time, but Sam’s receipt of this year’s award is a true testament to his skill as a mortgage professional.”

Mr. Morelli, who also holds the Certified Mortgage Banker designation, has been an active force within the mortgage banking industry for decades at the local, state and even national levels. He is currently serving his second term on The National MBA Board of Directors, and is also part of its Residential Board of Governors. Mr. Morelli is the National Chairman of The Mortgage Action Alliance, the premier grassroots lobbying organization representing the real estate finance industry.
